D.S.İ.: In 1994 a protocol was signed between the Directorate of the Monuments and Museums and the Directorate of the State Waterworks Administration (DSİ) in the Ministry of Energy so that a certain amount of appropriation was allocated each year from the appropriation of the dam to be used in the excavations. This amount is given to the Directorate of the Bergama Museum. The Branch Office of DSİ in the region also supports the excavation with heavy machinery when necessary.

Association for Saving Yortanlı: It was founded in Bergama in2000 by a group of volunteers within the excavation team. Today it has 25 members. The purpose of the Association is to secure that donations and any kind of aid provided for the excavation is used within purpose, and also provide the necessary equipments for the excavation, to help and support in case restoration and conservation work on the objects are needed, to support the workers’ fees and to provide publicity for the excavation.
